Being Authentically You

Is it possible to live as your authentic self? To be real while owning all of your faults and shortcomings? A great deal of us choose to remain more guarded, masking them and burying them deep inside of us.

The fact is we all live with our imperfections. Revealing one’s shortcomings and living authentically is risky. There’s a chance they could be weaponized against you in order to make you feel less or somewhat inferior. But there’s strength in standing tall, being courageous in the face of adversity., refusing to be shamed or scorned. Sadly, most of us would rather bear the burden of our innermost secrets, while denying their existence.

Change doesn’t begin without honest acceptance. Acknowledging your issues, addictions and shortcomings can be liberating. We must always remember there is no one among us walking this plane beyond blemish. It means taking complete control of one’s self while honoring and loving your life. Embrace and live your imperfections because everyone has them. Whatever yours are, whether freely wearing or concealing them, aim to be your authentic self.
